During Umpire Mechanics Clinic 1.0, attendees will receive instruction on the two-umpire system, which includes field mechanics, plate mechanics and game management principles. Attendees during the weekend will be able to gain skills and knowledge to enable the umpire to be proficient in the two-umpire system.
Umpire Mechanics 1.0 is best suited for umpires who are new, novice or need additional work in the two-umpire system or in general as an umpire. No prerequisites are needed to attend this clinic.
This clinic will be similar to the past Two-Umpire Mechanics Clinic, with 1.0 replacing that former clinic. Those who previously attended a Two-Umpire Clinic, who feel they have gained the necessary skills, education and understanding, do not need to attend Clinic 1.0 to consider attending 2.0, however are still welcome to attend.
$50 (plus fees) per person. Limited to 60 attendees and available until January 28, 2024.
A catered lunch on Saturday, training and educational materials plus access to your recorded plate mechanics sessions included.
Members of the Southeast Region Umpire Alumni Association are eligible for a 10% discount on SINGLE ATTENDEE upon request to the Region office.
